Abstract

Pigmentary retinopathy (A-B) inferior to optic disc, suggestive of self-settled neurosensory detachment, was noted in left eye of an otherwise asymptomatic 54-year-old woman, who also had a disc pit (A, black arrow; C, arrow). Outer retinochoroidal changes were noted in the inferior half of the retina on a vertical macular scan (D, arrow). A narrow wedge of foveal-macular nerve fiber layer defect was also seen (A, blue arrow). Any retinal breaks as a cause of the detachment were ruled by indirect ophthalmoscopy.
